My Story
My background in design is not traditional. I worked for several large corporations in product development and project management after college until I decided to use the skills I'd acquired in project management and start working for myself in a field that I'm passionate about. For the last several years my husband and I have renovated foreclosure homes, dated homes, and rental properties. During this time, I have also worked full time with other contractors to remodel and customize over 100 homes. I take a hands-on approach to design and can be involved with the entire design process from selecting paint colors and lighting to managing your entire project with a licensed and insured contractor.

Design Process
I always offer a free consultation by phone. After our consultation, we will make plans to meet at your home. It's important that during this process you trust me and I understand your vision completely, so that after your remodel or design refresh you're happy. We will work together very closely to define your vision and get on the same page before any work is started.
All design projects are different and while many parts of each project are unique, we will follow the same basic design process. This process ensures that you and the general contractor (if required) stay on the same page and that the work is completed to your specifications - on time and on budget.

Estimate (I can create a project estimate and shopping list for the items to be purchased)

Design shopping & review - we work together to shop for the items on our list this can include everything from windows to tile to cabinet door pulls. The more prepared you are for a remodel or refresh the more smoothly the project will progress.

Project guide - I will create a project guide for sub-contractors or the contractor in your home to follow so that the design is executed correctly and completely to bring the design vision to life.

After the project guide is created, you can choose to hire me hourly to manage the project or I can manage your project from start to finish to ensure the project's completion on time and on budget.
